NEXUM Scoring

Configurable Debt, Payment, Collections and Litigation scorecards combining NEXUM and external data; the score drives workflow placement.

Overview

The Scoring module is a configurable scorecard engine covering Debt Risk, Payment Risk, Collections Risk and Litigation Scoring. It combines NEXUM data with external data sources (credit bureau, payment history, demographic) to produce a numeric score for each account. The score is consumed directly by the NEXUM workflow decision engine, which places accounts at the most appropriate stage of action: gentle treatment for low-risk, aggressive treatment for high-risk, litigation referral where the score and policy align.

Business benefits

The benefits are precision and yield. Collections effort is focused on accounts where it will produce the best return, rather than being applied uniformly. Risk is identified earlier in the cycle, so intervention happens before recovery becomes difficult. Cure rates improve because customers receive treatment matched to their likely behaviour. Wasted effort on uncollectable accounts is reduced, which lowers cost-to-collect. Litigation decisions are evidence-based, which supports both commercial and regulatory defensibility. For organisations facing the perennial challenge of allocating a finite collections resource across a large book, scoring is the single most powerful lever for improving performance without adding cost.
